History & evolution 


Josef Anton MEGGLE I set up his cheese-making business some 120 years ago. Since then, our rural business has grown into a large commercial enterprise with an industrial and international focus.

In 2002 the MEGGLE AG was created as the holding company of the group. It bundles the activities of the different companies within the milk and whey-processing business group. This structure embodies flexibility and decisiveness on the one hand and the traditional character of the dairy with its long history of milk-processing on the other.

Our production sites, branches and sales offices span from Germany, our core market, across Europe, North and South America and all the way to Japan.

BG Food Systems


The Business Group Food Systems produces and sells functional compounds and raw materials for the food industry. Based on milk and whey our products are suited for a wide range of applications in the food and beverage industry: meat products, soups and sauces, delicatessen products, bakery and pastry, desserts and confectionary, coffee specialities, as well as different milk products.

Using our know-how from over 120 years of experience, we create innovative products for your success. State-of-the-art technology and the competence of our experts guarantee production at the highest level of quality.  

We obtain the raw materials for the production of our semi-finished products exclusively from intact ecological systems and use the latest technology to process them into premium quality and high functionality products.
